TO THE BRIDES
All brides know that they can’t control the weather on their wedding day, but most don’t have a back up plan for a global pandemic. We realize this is a difficult time for many brides and grooms, who now have to decide whether to cancel or postpone receptions they’ve spent months, and sometimes years, planning.
Many couples now find themselves in a holding pattern as long held plans remain subject to state guidelines and venue restrictions, either of which could change with little notice. Some couples are turning to alternative options such as Zoom ceremonies, but many choose to wait ti out. So much goes into planning a wedding, and many brides have their heart set on what they’ve envisioned for so long that waiting a bit longer is the answer.
Clearly there are no easy decisions, though, especially since presently so many people remain concerned about potential health risks. Brides and grooms want to share their wedding day joy with family and friends, and it can be heartbreaking when that might not happen. Couples may have to move through the disappointment to get to a place of acceptance. Keeping the focus on a long and happy marriage may help.
If you happen to be one of Liberty Lane Catering’s brides, please know that we feel your pain during this challenging time, and we are here to work with you! Whether that means postponing your wedding, scaling back your original plans, or changing your vision altogether, we will do whatever helps you most. As more of our state starts to reopen, know that we take seriously the guidelines for doing so. Hang in there, and we’ll see you soon!
